“Being a volunteer with Family Promise of Davie County since the initial start-up has brought new meaning to my favorite word, hope. Hope has turned to fruition for the families who enter and graduate from the program. Being a volunteer and helping the families with meals, children’s homework, church sleepovers, or just being there to listen helps me to remember my own blessings. At a time when families are struggling to make ends meet and become crippled due to homelessness, there is hope to be found by sharing our love and lending a hand; after all, we are the hands and feet of Jesus.”
